Sample cover letter for Internship position at Runtastic

POSITION:

Translator

Dear xxx,

I am writing to apply for the position of translator as advertised recently on

xxx. I am a qualified translator with a Master of Arts in Translation from xxx. As a

recent graduate, I am excited to hear of this position in the field of translating and working with

languages.

In high school, I discovered my passion for languages and decided to pursue my academic career in

German studies. In 2009 I graduated from xxx with a Bachelor's

degree and started to work for xxx, a leading business magazine, as an editor. To gain a

better understanding of the skill of translation, I came to xxx four years ago to pursue a

Master's Degree in translation.

For the last five years, I have been working for xxx as a freelance translator and project

assistant. My main work consists of translating various legal and technical documents from

xxx into xxx and vice versa. I have also worked for different organizations and private

persons as a translator/interpreter. I approach my work in a professional manner. I have excellent

communication skills and can adapt to different situations. I have a keen eye for detail and have been

praised regularly for my accurate work.

Thank you for taking the time to look over my application. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
