Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Accenture

POSITION:

Strategy Analyst

Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing to express my sincere interest in the Strategy Analyst position Accenture has posted online. I am a senior at the University of Illinois studying Bioengineering. I am especially interested in working with Accenture because I am enthusiastic to work for a company that is a leader in the field of finding strategic solutions for the most complex of problems that companies have.

In addition, I am uniquely qualified for this position and offer the following skills and experience. I have industry experience in three separate large cap companies. Last summer I interned with MedImmune, the global biologics R&D arm of AstraZeneca. I worked in the Manufacturing and Sciences group in order to ensure employees were in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice procedures when dealing with clinical drugs. In doing this I got exposure to several roles ranging from early stage development, all the way to purification, and formulation. I also completed a training course that gave insight on the discovery process of drugs, the regulatory pathway it takes to market, and the business decisions companies make to maximize profits. Before that I worked as an Operations Intern at AbbVie, and learned how important it is for a pharmaceutical company to be in compliance with regulatory bodies, what it takes to push a product through the pipeline with the necessary Design Control protocol. I worked with multiple facets of the company and understand the structure of a large pharmaceutical firm, and have insight as to what it takes for such a company to be successful. I also did a one semester co-op at Kimberly-Clark as a Materials Product Developer and learned a lot about optimizing manufacturing processes at a consumer products company while continuously making product improvements, mitigating risk, and driving cost savings. I worked on the Life Cycle Maximization team in their Adult & Feminine Care division and gained experience working in a fast paced environment with exposure to multiple functions in the company.

During my time at school, I partook in undergraduate research which helped grow skills I learned in class and implement them in a professional working environment. In addition to research, I worked as a student consultant on a global team with fellow consultants and clients spanning three continents. My work with IIP consulting has helped me develop my analytical and problem solving skills by working in teams to solve a real problem for a company under their deadlines and restrictions. My engineering, science, and business development backgrounds shape me into a cross-functional candidate for this position. I have the skills needed to deconstruct a broad problem into all its components and work with a team to come up with a viable solution for a client. I am eager to make a difference doing work like this at Accenture.

Enclosed is my résumé that further highlights my experience and skills that could prove most beneficial in the smooth operation of your work force. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you further about my qualifications and interest in the Strategy Analyst position.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
