Sample cover letter for Internship position at Disney ABC

POSITION:

Motion Graphics

Walt Disney believed that family was “the most important thing” and I share that sentiment. The most fulfilling projects I have worked on are the ones where I have been able to entertain audiences of both young and old. Successfully bringing families closer together means I accomplished my goals and left a lasting imprint. Disney ABC Television Group upholds these core family values and this is why being a part of the team as a design intern appeals to me as an enriching opportunity. My passion for family, along with my well-rounded graphics and production experiences, makes the ABC Design and Animation Internship a perfect fit for me.

I am from Brazil and moved to the United States in my late teen years. Having completed my Bachelors degree in Film and Video Production and currently studying Design Communication Arts at UCLA Extension I have a unique set of skills that allow me to create unique motion graphics and designing projects. Combining my educations, I am able to go beyond computer generated graphics and do video/photo shoots to create content meant to be integrated into the motion graphics. These skills will allow me to do my job and also assist the team with any additional production needs.

My past experience at Dick Clark Productions working on award shows has given me the opportunity to work on live events in a fast-paced environment. That experience has proved that my personality is one of my greatest assets; I can remain calm and keep a positive demeanor and upbeat attitude in stressful situations.

Given the opportunity to be part of the Disney ABC Television family, I would live and breathe the role as the ABC Design and Animation intern. Beyond that, I would be remarkably grateful for the opportunity to work within a company who shares the same passion I have to create entertainment for families around the world. If accepted into the program, I would love to dedicate some of my time beyond work to help and support Disney Citizenship programs.
