Re: Financial Service Co-op Position (Reference: 1405806)

Dear Ms. Dunn:

As a fourth year Business student at Simon Fraser University pursuing a dual concentration in Marketing, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation, I am enthusiastic in searching and developing new market opportunities by interacting with different groups of people. I appreciate how Fidelity treats every client seriously and I would love to be a part of this highly human- oriented organization and gain a working understanding of business development.

Communicating with clients to develop business is not unfamiliar to me. As a Study Tour Coordinator at IWE Study, I participated in designing brochures and organizing workshops, and presented the programs to the potential customers by introducing my personal experience about and benefits of the study tour. I also interacted with parents and students on a daily basis. From telling them what a study tour is to actually bringing them to US for eight days, I have developed strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Their testimonials have described me as a person who always hold positive attitudes and has helped them in every detail.

Working as a Market Research Assistant at Jingwei International Limited has substantially reinforced my ability to identify new market opportunities, to gain understanding of a new industry and to prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet the deadlines. I was responsible for conducting new product market research, developing channel partners, and interviewing and maintaining long- term relationships with more than ten lead users. Without a focus on details and preparation in advance, success would have been near impossible.

Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I am confident that I have the skills and knowledge necessary for this position, and that I can quickly adapt to a new environment and learn the tasks involved. At your convenience, I would like to have the opportunity to meet with you, discussing how my past working experience, academic knowledge, and personal skills could be valuable to your company. I look forward to hearing from you and answering any questions you may have in an interview.

Sincerely,

Ted Du
