Representative Paul Stam

NC House of Representatives

300 N. Salisbury Street, Room 612

Raleigh, NC 27603-5925

Dear Representative Stam:

Thank you for your time and attention to receive this letter. I am a May 2014 graduating senior in political science at North Carolina State University. I am seeking employment in the legislative branch of the North Carolina government where I can utilize my professional experience, energy, and drive to assist both you and your staff.

Attached, please find my resume, which summarizes my education and employment experience. Specifically, I would like to highlight my internships with Representative Chuck McGrady, Teddy & Meekins Law Firm, and the Cleveland County District Attorney’s Office. In Mr. McGrady’s office, I gained significant experience in public policy research and procedures, as well as in correspondence with his Henderson County constituents. Both of the other internships were in my hometown of Shelby, North Carolina where I was able to witness the practices of the North Carolina judiciary at the district level.

I believe that my other previous experiences in civic and community organizations have contributed to the growth and development of individuals in our state. I look forward to discussing my qualifications with you at your convenience. Please see my contact information on the attached resume. I wish you and your colleagues all the best as you prepare for the 2014 Short Session.

Sincerely,

Keith Weatherly
