Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing with regards to the London-based Summer Internship programme commencing next year. I am interested in a career in consulting - especially at Simon-Kucher & Partners. Having done a significant amount of research on your firm I was impressed with what I learnt regarding the emphasis you place on personal development. With your mentoring scheme and the Simon-Kucher Academy in place I feel that employee development and care is one of Simon-Kucher's main priorities.

My interest in consulting stems from the fact that I feel a great consultant requires great communication skills and the ability to empathise with their clients. These are skills that I feel I have in abundance and would like to develop further. I am the marketing director of the New Financial Worlds Conference. This is Imperial College Finance Society's most prestigious annual event with a budget of £16, 000. Overseeing a team of around 10 people, I aid in the organization and running of the conference. Furthermore, I am in charge of creating a marketing strategy for the conference. Amongst many other things, this involved me writing an article in Imperial College Union's weekly newspaper, The Felix, to promote the conference. Another one of my main roles is to communicate with, and attract, around 700 applicants from Europe for just 200 places. I feel that the above to positions really differentiate me from other applicants as it puts me in a unique position with two very important positions of responsibility.
