Transporting Oranges
Sponsored by MindSumo

You are required to move 3,000 oranges 1,000 miles from Orangeville to Yellowland. The trailer you own can carry one thousand oranges maximum. Unfortunately, each time you travel one mile toward Yellowland you are required to drop one orange as a tax and you cannot pick it back up. You don’t need to pay anything when going the other way (toward Orangeville).

What’s the highest # of oranges you can deliver to Yellowland?

(just submit the raw number - e.g. 21)
