Next Challenge: How can we capture "lamellar shine" for hair in a compelling video demo? |
Top 5 win $100 each, next 6 runners-up win $50
We understand that getting a child lathered up with sunscreen isn't the easiest process. Parents and caretakers have the tedious task of trying to apply it, while most kids would rather be jumping in the pool than getting their sunscreen put on! Those applying sunscreen also face difficulties around knowing if enough has been applied and keeping track of where it's been applied so as not to miss any spots.
We want to make putting on sunscreen more fun and/or easier for both the kids and their parents/caretakers so that it becomes something they want to do on a daily basis and not just when it's needed (ex: a day at the beach). To do this, we hope to offer a new product that will transform the kids sunscreen market and make it more enjoyable for everyone involved!
We are interested in new product ideas that will revolutionize the kids sunscreen market. Ideas should improve the kids sunscreen application process in some way, ideally making it more fun, easy, or effective for kids and adults. Specifically, answer the following:
- Tell us about your new product idea for kids sunscreen. Be sure to include how it differs from kids sunscreen products currently on the market.
- What is the primary pain point / hassle / drawback of traditional kids sunscreen application that your product idea improves upon?
- Why would kids want to use your new sunscreen product?
- Why would those applying the sunscreen (parents, care takers / nannies / babysitters, relatives, etc.) like using your new kids sunscreen product over other products available today?
- BONUS: Tell us what you would call your new product idea and give us a one sentence pitch or tagline!
Considerations:
- Your idea should be something that would be sold in stores as a kids sunscreen product (or in that section of the store).
- As you brainstorm, think of some of the things that make applying kids sunscreen a hassle / not enjoyable. Then, try to think of how a product could improve on these things and make the process more fun or easy for both parties involved (kids + adults).
