Some of the most popular products found in grocery store freezer aisles are inspired by restaurant favorites, like Red Lobster Cheddar Bay biscuits, Panera broccoli cheese soup, and TGI Fridays mozzarella sticks and potato skins. Such items let shoppers bring home family favorites from restaurants they love and eat them when it is convenient. We think this trend deserves exploring, and want to know which restaurant appetizers consumers would love to see in the freezer section of their local Costco next.
Deliverables
Propose at least one appetizer you love from a chain restaurant that would go in the freezer section at a grocery store. Each item you propose should include the following:
- Name the item and the restaurant that makes it. Please don't submit ideas that have already undergone the restaurant-to-freezer treatment.
- How should this item be packaged?
- How is this restaurant appetizer unique from other frozen appetizers you can buy today?
- Would anything come with your item? For instance, a dipping sauce, a topping, or something else?
- How often do you think you would buy and use this product? Please explain the occasions when you would want to make this item.
CRITERIA: Do not suggest items from fast food restaurants.
