If you haven't noticed, athletic wear is having a moment. Whether it's performance enhancing, customizable clothing that gives you that extra edge in the gym or athleisure fashion that looks good on the street, athletic wear has evolved to new heights.

We want to bring this athletic wear moment into the future. Champion is looking to create a line of apparel that focuses on unique features and attributes that may not exist today. The garments in this line can range from lounging around the house to everyday streetwear and high-intensity workouts, but they should all bring something new to the world of athletic wear.

We want to focus on the following garments:

  • Running leggings / yoga pants (female-specific)
  • Sweatpants
  • Sweatshirts / hoodies
  • Sports bras (female-specific)
  • Shorts
  • T-shirts
Deliverables

Please tell us your ideas for bringing new features and attributes to athletic wear, focusing on satisfying the needs and desires of 18-25 year old consumers. To be eligible for rewards, you will need to fully answer the following questions for at least two of the above listed garments:

  1. Which garment are you focusing on?
  2. What unique features or attributes would you add to this garment? How would they be added? How would the wearer use or activate them, if necessary?
  3. What benefit does your feature or attribute have for the wearer? What scenarios would they get a benefit--when would they wear these garments?

Consider everything about the garment, and be as descriptive as possible. Explain everything relevant, from material to technology to wear and care instructions. Your ideas should be implementable in the next 2-5 years.
