The experience of shaving may be vastly different 10 years from now. New technologies and trends are emerging today that could have a profound impact on the consumer landscape, influencing both our expectations of our shaving devices and the ways in which we use them.
New technologies that could have an impact include, but are not limited to, 3D printing, connected ("smart") homes, the internet of things, and the takeover of mobile devices. Meanwhile, consumer trends and preferences could also transform the future of shaving. Some of these trends and preferences may include environmental sustainability, consumer demand for customization, focus on health and wellness, and the growing desire to support local economies.
Deliverables
We want to know: what do YOU predict the future holds for shaving in the year 2025? In your response, please address the following questions:
- What possibilities do you envision for shaving in ten years?
- Which new technologies will enable these possibilities? How will they do this?
- What new trends do you predict will alter the future of shaving? How will these trends affect our shaving devices or how we use them?
