Next Challenge: What is your idea for a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to mineral oil? |
Anyone who has taken a flight knows that the process of checking bags, going through security, and boarding the plane can be an inefficient and exhausting experience for travelers. When confronted with all the stresses and inefficiencies of the events leading up to takeoff, it can make for a bad start to a trip and a negative customer experience which might influence future travel decisions.
We are looking for ways to both improve the efficiency of airport procedures and also make the process a more enjoyable customer experience for travelers.
Imagine you just arrived to the airport and need to go through the normal pre-flight steps before boarding your plane. Describe what changes you would implement to create an efficient and more customer friendly boarding experience. Be sure to explain your improvements for the following:
1) Checking luggage
2) Waiting to board the plane
3) Being seated/stowing any carry-on luggage
Criteria: Keep the following in mind
1) Do not propose solutions that are currently being used by major airlines – unless they are providing an exceptional experience that you wish to retain.
2) If applicable, be sure to explain how your solution would leverage technology trends (mobile apps, wearables, or other emerging technologies)
