Millennial young professionals who live or work in urban centers have a wide-range of transportation needs that fluctuate by time and event. To meet these diverse and varying mobility needs, there are ever-expanding options for how to get around. Ride sharing services, transportation network companies, and bike rentals are just a few of the progressive new options available for young professionals living in cities. Mercedes-Benz is excited about the dynamic scene of Millennial urban mobility and we are seeking new ideas for owning, sharing, leasing, and accessing means of transportation.

Deliverables

Propose a new mobility service OR an improvement to an existing service that meets the evolving mobility needs of 20 - 30 year old young professionals living in urban centers. In your proposal, please address the following:

  1. Describe the region where you live (for example: a rural area vs. a sprawling urban area) and the mobility options available to you. What mobility methods and services do you choose to use, and why?
  2. What is your idea for a new mobility service or service improvement? If it is a new mobility service, describe in detail how it works. If it is an improvement to an existing service, what elements of the previous service is it improving or replacing?
  3. Why would your proposal meet the needs of Millennials living in urban areas?
  4. Optional: Provide a visual (sketch, diagram, etc) displaying how your service might work.
