Mars Wrigley is global leading snacks and treats manufacturers, with multiple well-known brands, i.e. M&M’s, Snickers, Twix, Extra/ Orbit. Globally, Chocolate Bars is a significant part of our business, and the Snickers and Twix brands contribute a meaningful share of global Chocolate Bars sales.

We want to develop the next round of innovations for Snickers and Twix brands to make these products more relevant to younger consumers! Specifically, we are interested in innovations that achieve the following:

  1. Promote Snickers/Twix as products that help you and the planet when you purchase them.
  2. Achieve the first point without sacrificing the "indulgence" factor most consumers want when they eat a chocolate bar
  3. Stay true to the Snickers/Twix brand personality

Your ideas could focus on any number of areas. New ingredients, plant-based solutions, sustainability, health, animal rights, etc. We want you to be creative and look for out-of-the box ideas to help us breathe new and innovative life into these brands!

Deliverables

Please complete the following:

1) Propose an idea for a new innovation that could be applied to the Snickers brand/product

  • How does your idea change the existing product/brand? (ex. ingredients, flavor, packaging, marketing, etc.)
  • What would specifically appeal to younger consumers who adopt a holistic healthy lifestyle?
  • How does your idea make Snickers purchases better for the planet AND for the consumer?

2) Propose an idea for a new innovation that could be applied to the Twix brand/product

  • How does your idea change the existing product/brand? (ex. ingredients, flavor, packaging, marketing, etc.)
  • What would specifically appeal to younger consumers who adopt a holistic healthy lifestyle?
  • How does your idea make Twix purchases better for the planet AND for the consumer?

3) Propose a "project name" we could use internally to capture the idea of bringing innovation to existing brands. Remember, this would be for our internal-facing employees, not consumers!
