When it comes to life insurance, most Millennials can buy more coverage at less of a price than any other age group. For young, healthy applicants, whole life insurance--which accumulates cash value and pays a benefit on the death of the insured--can be immensely valuable, easy to get, and inexpensive. Yet, most young customers don’t realize the benefits life insurance can have for them. We want to use social media to build a better connection with these Millennials, but we’re not yet sure how to go about doing that.

Deliverables

Help us reach a Millennial audience through innovative and cutting-edge social media channels and practices. Your solution should do the following:

  1. Identify social media channels that would be best for us to use to reach Millennials and tell them about life insurance. In addition to others you identify, what would be the value of using Snapchat, Pinterest, and Periscope?

  2. What social media marketing campaign resonated with you in the past and increased your brand awareness? Please identify the specific product or brand involved, the social media channel(s) you were using, and give examples of the impactful messaging they used.

  3. What can we do to stand out on each of these specific channels?

  4. What messaging and tone should we use for these channels? How and why should it differ from traditional media messaging?
