Women have played an important role in the history of beer. The first beer brewers were predominantly women. But somewhere in recent history, beer became a more masculine drink. Today, women only account for 31 percent of beer consumption. We believe that women deserve to be taken seriously as beer drinkers.

For that reason, we want your input. We're interested in your perceptions of beer and beer culture, as well as how to increase female interest in beer and how to make it a go-to choice for situations where women currently may choose a different alcoholic beverage.

Deliverables

Help us make beer a rich, enjoyable part of women's lives. Specifically, answer the following questions:

  1. Tell us about how you feel about beer. What do you think of when you think of beer, and the culture of beer? What emotions, moods, and vibes come to mind?
  2. What might convince you, or other women, to choose beer over other types of alcohol (wine, spirits, etc.)?  What about at brunch, dinner or when hanging out with friends?
  3. Pretend you had to drink a beer every day. What would its flavor profile and ingredients be? What would help you enjoy it?
