Sample cover letter for Internship position at 5/3 Bank

POSITION:

Co-op internship

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to you with at the suggestion of Darby Wells in the wealth management department at your company. She mentioned that you currently have available internship co-op positions and believes that I would potentially be a good fit for this opportunity. While I was researching your company, I recognized that you have newly expanded your wealth management division. This is an exciting expansion that causes your bank to bring in new people with a diverse mindset.

In my resume, you can see that I am progressing through the undergraduate program rather well with a GPA above 3.0. Also, I have an ample amount of job experience that allows me to be a strong candidate for this position. I have worked in downtown before, as I was an intern at a sports agency. Here, I was able to sit in on contract negotiations and support marketing through social media. I also have experience a 9-5-office job at a Medical supply company There, I negotiated overhead cost with vendors reducing it nearly 25%. In both positions, teamwork and cooperation was needed at a high level that I was able to accomplish. I believe my work experience as well as my education puts me above the curve for this position.

During November 19-December 1st I will be able to meet with you because I will be in town with my family. Also December 10th- January 15th. I would love to meet with you and discuss internship possibilities to a greater extent. I will send you an email in a week as a follow-up. You may contact me by phone or email.

Sincerely,

Bob Belcher
