Sample cover letter for Internship position at 7-Eleven

Store Staff

Dear XXX,

I am writing to express my keen interest in your vacancy for a Store Staff position at 7-Eleven XXX Street. I am currently a student studying in the Bachelor of Commerce at XXX, majoring in Economics and Finance.

7-Eleven has become such a recognisable and familiar household brand name, and I am myself a regular customer. I am also aware that 7-Eleven is truly a global brand, where high-quality products and services are delivered. The prospect of being able to gain valuable skills as a member of 7-Eleven has drawn me to apply to become part of such a professional environment.

As regards to my qualifications, my previous employment experience at a restaurant as a waiter/cashier for over one year has provided me with the relevant skills, responsibility and disciplines needed at work. Volunteering experience with XXX has also helped me develop the professional and interpersonal skills needed and the ability to cooperate and work well in a team environment.

Similarly, my recent internship at a private equity fund over the summer has further equipped me with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently. Furthermore, with several leadership positions I have held during my past year at University, I believe this prepares me well to be ideally suited for the job.

Thank you for your time and consideration of my application. I am excited for the opportunity to speak to you in person to discuss how my qualifications will be beneficial for your store in the future. I can be contacted on mobile XXX.
