Mechanical Engineering Intern

I am writing to apply for the position of ACCO as found on Linkedin. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Mechanical engineering at YYYY University. With my engineering coursework, widely ranging project experience and affinity for problem solving, I believe I am a strong candidate for this role.

As an undergraduate at ZZZ University, I have balanced a demanding course load and extra-curricular activities that have allowed me to develop my skills specific to this role. Specific to engineering, through my academic project work, I have developed proficiency in 3-D design and modeling, an understanding of materials, and application of finite element analysis. For example, Design course, I along with three teammates created mechanical drawings and designs in Autodesk Inventor. We then modeled as well as performed analyses on all parts on Autodesk Simulation Mechanical while meeting or exceeding all requirements and deadlines.

I have also developed the strong interpersonal and communication skills required to succeed as the ACCO; in addition to academic team projects that require collaboration and strong writing and presentation skills, I am an active member of YYY’s racing team. Throughout all of my experiences, I have used my dedication to efficient and creative problem solving and my ability to prioritize and manage competing demands to positive ends. I am eager to apply my engineering knowledge and skills at ACCO.
