Sample cover letter for Internship position at Accenture

POSITION:

Management Consulting Development Program Analyst Intern

Dear Accenture Hiring Manager,

I read about your job opening for a Management Consulting Development Program Analyst Intern and I believe I would be a great addition to the Accenture team. I am currently a student at UC Berkeley majoring in Business Administration and Legal Studies. I am a driven individual with experience and potential to help your company grow.

Experience and internships have strengthened my skills in communication, working in teams, and developing a strong work ethic. For instance, my involvement in EthiCAL Apparel has helped me develop my communication skills. From Sales Associate to President, I led a group of my peers to a more viable way to do business. I researched potential suppliers and chose the companies that best fit our mission. At EthiCAL, we believe in a more sustainable way of producing and selling clothing, and using the profits to better the communities around us. We have given loans to people in Cambodia and Vietnam, and look forward to pushing our boundaries. I hope to bring the same attitude and drive to help Accenture expand as well.

To demonstrate my creative and analytical problem-solving abilities, I have worked at my father’s store in San Francisco since I was ten years old, and in recent years, have provided valuable advice to my parents. For example, I assisted my father in obtaining permits for city licenses and permits, and created marketing flyers to advertise our opening for our second store. Noticing the inadequacies of an outdated cash register, I updated our store’s system with Quickbooks Point of Sale equipment and software. Growing up in this environment has given me opportunities to work with my father in terms of paying bills, preparing End-of-Day reports, monthly tax forms, and performing other various functions that help keep our business running smoothly.

My experience with Pi Sigma Epsilon has also sharpened my consulting and team-working skills. I was marketer of a consulting project for a nonprofit focused on tutoring low-income students. I contributed to a master list of schools and organizations with whom the nonprofit could start partnering, providing market research data and competitive analysis, and compiled the research in a deliverable. Through my contribution, our team earned a substantial award for this consulting presentation.

I hope that I have convinced you that I would be a great addition to the Accenture team. With my extensive experience in consulting and a dedication to my work, I believe I am qualified for the desired position. What I hope your company can offer me is an opportunity for my ideas and projects to be considered and implemented. Accenture will be a place for me to explore my abilities to research, think critically, and provide strategies to help your company grow.

I welcome any opportunity to discuss my qualifications and learn more about your company at your earliest convenience. Thank you so much for the chance to apply.

Sincerely,

[Name]
