Please consider my application for the petroleum engineering position on your new team, as advertised on August 16 on Indeed.com. I will graduate from Texas A&M University in May 2018 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering. I saw your add online and believe that I have many of the qualifications that you are looking for.

As you can see from my disclosed resume, I traveled abroad to Brazil to participate in a three-week study abroad program. During my time in South America, I learned a great deal about the petroleum industry and was also exposed to a variety of different situations that wouldn’t be typical to the United States. This experience broadened my view on the industry and also to the different cultures or groups involved in the oil and gas community.

At A&M I also worked as a teacher’s assistant to the general engineering class for two semesters. This experience, along with my other involvements, have taught me a lot about team work and how important it is to utilize available recourses to complete a task. Patience, persistence, and passion are key factors when it comes to working in the business.

I speak English and Spanish and have dual citizenship to both the United Stated and Argentina. Having the ability to speak two languages has opened many doors for me and has allowed me to communicate with a variety of different people and countries.
