As a Junior studying music and technology at ________, I am hoping to bring my engineering skill set and eagerness to collaborate to a recording studio in Boston this summer. We met at the Tabernacle Church, and again at the Old Whaling Church where I had asked you about your recording techniques and your setup for recording _______. You told me about your studio in Roslindale — the Model D 9’ Steinway, the 128-input mixing board, and the size and beauty of the recording spaces. After exploring the Futura website, I can see that the Roslindale studio is both a sight to see and hear. I am writing to ask you if there are any openings as an unpaid assistant for this upcoming summer.

My early passions for composing and audio engineering in high school have led to an enriching college music career with a bright future for performing and engineering. I have experience composing for _________. I also operate a home-studio in my dorm room where I record and produce original compositions using all-analog recording equipment and a a treated vocal closet. It is here in “Studio 306” where I refine my recording techniques, and collaborate with musicians who have diverse musical backgrounds and needs. My eagerness to collaborate with clients and offer open-minded creative input has arguably taught me more about studio workflow than any other recording training has, and I believe collaboration has become my strongest quality as a musician and engineer.
