Sample cover letter for Internship position at BCG

POSITION:

Consultant

I am in the 4th year of my dual degree program at IIT Delhi. I would like to extend my application to work as a summer intern with KPMG.

My inclination towards consulting is because it is the application of the problem solving skills one has acquired, to address the real issues faced by the reputed organizations. During my internships, some of which were in Start-Ups, I realized the importance of critical analysis and decision making in boosting up a business. The ability to excellently utilize the information given by the clients and suggest smart solutions to the challenges, is what allures me the most. My involvement in analytic and research projects backs me with the skills needed to analyze and understand the real business issues and come up with a viable solution.

I have performed my best in every sphere with utmost sincerity and dedication. At IIT Delhi, I got an overall grooming not only by acquiring excellent technical knowledge but, also interpersonal and social skills both inside and outside the classes. The variety of the internships and projects (both team and individual) I have taken, have given me the strength to get into and deliver my best in this field. The start-up projects I have worked with, have enriched me with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot complex situations, coming with best possible solutions to enhance the growth and productivity.

The fact that KPMG attracts the best minds and working with such a peer group will provide me an invaluable opportunity to learn and evolve, both professionally and personally, allures me the most. I believe that all the above attributes build a strong case for me to pursue a summer internship with KPMG. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
