Sample cover letter for Internship position at BCG

POSITION:

Analyst

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am pursuing my masters at London School of Economics and keen to apply for an internship opportunity at BCG. During the recently held Internship fair at LSE, I had an opportunity to interact with BCG’s associates. The interaction provided me with a good understanding about life at BCG, the nature of projects & associated career paths at BCG. BCG’s IT Strategy consulting is of particular interest to me as this meets my long term goal of working with CIO office.

Prior to London School of Economics, I was responsible for operations pertaining to export of commodity and specialized products for global markets. My experience working with primary Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets gave me a range of essential skills that includes consumer purchasing behavior, foreign trade policies, risks and exchange handling; I was part of the core team responsible for expansion strategy into new markets.

My limited experience has provided me with perspective of helping customers realize value proposition with emerging technologies in areas of cloud computing & data centre operations. My graduation in Computers Engineering has given me the right foundation to utilize changing technology trends for business growth. This coupled with my understanding of export operations from the business side will enable me to contribute at BCG for various potential projects & research areas.

My primary focus of the Master’s program continues to learn various facets of strategic analysis that enables decision making along with detailed understanding of financial/investment planning. I strongly believe the internship opportunity at BCG will expedite my learning and career prospects. I request a kind evaluation on my attached CV & a related discussion in this regard

Thanking you

Regards
