Sample cover letter for Internship position at BCG

I would like to apply for a summer internship at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), one of the leading consulting firms in the world.

‘Economics’ is always present in our daily lives, and growing up in a deteriorating economic climate awaked my passion for the subject further. During my studies, I gained valuable experience in this field in the ‘Finance’ course, which I completed successfully. Apart from being a proactive learner, I was actively involved in Volunteering activities outside campus, where I worked as a volunteer at ‘SEMENTE’, an association which helps the community mainly through environmental iniciatives. I was also collaborator at the school’s Interact Club (non-profit) with the purpose of the helping the local community. I organized several service projects, mainly fundraisers for children with disabilities or cancer and implemented Eco-Friendly practices in our school, which led to the “ECO-ESCOLAS” award.

Because of my strong dedication as well as my good communication skills, i managed to do a summer internship at a highly successfull and renowned consultancy firm, Deloitte, where I was integrated in serveral projects of the firm, including research projects, benchmark studies and transfer pricing projects, all of which provided me with a wide range of skills including team work and communication skills.

As a person that strives to achieve the highest standards in every aspect of my life, I have acquainted myself with a range of skills that would allow me to blend with the organizations culture, and propel the team to new height of success.

My enthusiastic involvement in many activities outside of the academic circle has served me well in nurturing my leadership and communication skills, which are essential to succeed in the working world.
