After working tirelessly at the helm of project controls for my current company’s branch office in Ethiopia for the past 2 and half years, I have built a strong profile in systematic coordination for complex engineering projects. The Planning Engineer position at Bechtel Corporation’s Korea Office will be ideal for me to maximize my experiences and skills and I apply for the position with utmost enthusiasm.

Prior to my current employment I had early exposure to infrastructure projects during my 30 month service as an architectural specialist within an elite overseas national service program in lieu of conscription. I was dispatched to Ethiopia for my services and I have had a fast learning curve in an environment with numerous constraints. These constraints has equipped me with versatile approaches to project implementation grounded on systemized processes.

Currently as the youngest Lead Project Coordinator of my company, I have led a broad spectrum of projects engaging mainly in EXIM Bank of China funded projects within Ethiopia. The international environment that I have been exposed to requires careful planning with multi-cultural managing styles as it deals with multi-national engineers and stakeholders. This environment has geared me with context-specific original solutions through continual open communication. My continued path of implementing engineering projects has prepared me for larger scaled projects which I hope to experience in Bechtel Corporation.

With a strong focus on quantifiable controls compounded with realistic planning, I am confident to bring an innovative and determined spirit to the team at the EPC contractor’s office in Seoul.
