Sample cover letter for Internship position at Bespak

Dear Mrs. Koppelman

I am writing in response to your company’s Advertisement on the Loughborough University Employability website for a student engineer. I am currently studying mechanical engineering and I have just started my second year.

I have been more interested in the practical aspects of my degree. I particularly enjoyed my group projects as they involved designing and producing. I am very keen on developing and enhancing my engineering skills with a well-known organization such as Bespak. I am really interested in the acquiring more knowledge about injectable and nasal devices and I believe my engineering knowledge would come in handy when undertaking projects. I have used a similar CAD package to Solidworks which would be very useful.

As you will see in my CV I have several skills which make me suitable for this position. After undertaking my first two projects in my first year. I have developed good project managing, team working and communication skills. I am able to work well independently when necessary and I am also able to handle high volume of work load without much stress.

I am available for interview at any point in time except during my exams period from 21 January- 1 February. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing this in more detail.
