Blackstone Group

Dear Sir/Madam

Re: Summer Intern

I am writing to apply for the position of Summer Intern at Blackstone Group.

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Banking and Financial Services from City University of Hong Kong. I started my banking career by joining a summer internship programme at Bank of China in Guangzhou in Jun 2014, which was a good experience to know the banking environment and system in China. During a month, I got chances to assist the operations and customer services at a branch, approved credit card limit by using their specific calculating system with zero-room mistake, and organized 2 events to introduce the services and financial products provided by the bank.

Furthermore, I had suspended a year and worked at Hang Seng Bank. My main duties were data analysis, streamlining banking operations, and profit optimization. For example, I collaborated with colleagues to calculate and analyze the unit cost per transaction of an ATM, and helped the bank gain 50% more income per one transaction from HSBC client, and save 3% cost by reforming the Automated Banking Services strategies at the same time.

Good team player and analytical skill, self-motivated, as well as my willingness to learn make me a strong candidate for the position I am applying for and I am certain that my experience and industry exposure will add value to Blackstone Group.

Please see enclosed a copy of my CV, and two reference letters from my professors.

Thank you very much for considering me for the abovementioned vacancy. A meeting to discuss with you further my acumen and aspiration would be appreciated. I look forward to your favorable reply.

Yours faithfully,

Betty
