Sample cover letter for Internship position at Bows-N-Ties

POSITION:

Marketing

GOT THE JOB? Yes

Dear Mr. Pohl,

I am writing to express my interest for the Bows-N-Ties marketing internship at the San Francisco office. As a sophomore marketing major at the University of San Francisco, I am the perfect candidate for this internship. I am very interested in gaining more knowledge about marketing in the fashion business.

During the past year, I have gained some experience working with a relatively new start-up company called MyWebRoom. I was asked to help develop the social media presence of the company through Tumblr, Pinterest and Instagram. As an avid fan of fashion, I am well informed of the latest fashion trends through sites like Tumblr and Pinterest. In addition, I have also recently been accepted to work with Converse in San Francisco. Although my work will not being until August, I hope that through my employment I will gain sound experience in how consumers behave in the fashion industry and what businesses do to keep the demand high for consumers.

In addition, I have lived all across the globe including England, Italy, Turkey, Germany and the U.S.A. This has provided me with crucial experience in how consumers behave differently in each culture from Europe and Asia to the US. I believe this background provides me with the necessary skills to stand out from other candidates, as I am able to provide you valuable insight to what the fashion is like in Europe and Asia, expanding your presence to other countries.

My professional work ethic, eagerness to learn, and hardworking character make me a great candidate for a marketing intern at Bows-N-Ties. I am confident I can meet the expectations required for this internship and I have attached my resume for review. I look forward to speaking with you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.
