Sample cover letter for Internship position at Buzzfeed

POSITION:

Business Strategy Intern

Dear Mr. _____,

I recently learned about BuzzFeed’s internship opportunity and I am highly interested in the Business Strategy Intern position. I am confident that my previous experience has allowed me to gain and improve on various skills such as analyzing data, multitasking, and learning about new industries.

In the fall I completed an internship at ___________. Through this experience I have honed my skills in many aspects such as setting my own deadlines, analyzing data, staying in constant contact with my supervisors, learning about new industries, as well as multitasking. One of the most important skills I improved on in this position was my multitasking ability. During my tenure at ______, I worked on a variety of projects with the ______NYC Regional Office, the ______International Office, and the _____ Business Development Office.

The project I worked on with the _____ Business Development Office played a significant role in my data analysis skills and learning about a new industry. This project required that I consolidate and analyze the 2012 NYS agriculture data. My first step was to learn more about the agriculture industry since I had no prior experience. Afterwards I identified the best possible way to analyze the significant amounts of data from the 62 counties according to what would be the most important information for people entering the industry, such as the farm size, market value of products sold, top commodities and their values.

My experience at ______has allowed me to strengthen my research, analytical, and multitasking abilities, which is why I am confident that I am a great fit for this internship at Buzzfeed. Thank you very much for your consideration.

Sincerely,
