Sample cover letter for Full Time position at CBRE

POSITION:

Real estate analyst

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am a May 2016 graduate of the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Hospitality Management. At Penn State I completed several additional real estate related courses outside of my major requirements to further my knowledge of the industry. In a semester-long independent study, I worked alongside Dr. John O’Neill, MAI to create a trends and forecast report for the 2016 hotel real estate market. I was also chosen to represent the school at the 2016 ALIS and HAMA Conferences. I am looking for a role in the hotel real estate sector, specifically in consulting and valuation.

I am currently serving as the Acquisitions and Development Analyst for New Castle Hotels & Resorts in Shelton, CT while I pursue a permanent position. My current role is an open-ended and paid internship working with the Director of Acquisitions and Development. While at New Castle I perform market research, draft proposals, and generate financial models for the company’s acquisition and development opportunities.

My current on the job training and educational background have given me a depth of experience that I hope will be a great asset to your firm. I am confident in my ability to perform market and financial analyses for hotel investments and am looking forward to learning as much about the industry as possible. I am willing to relocate throughout the United States. Please see attached for a copy of my resume. I look forward to discussing my qualifications in greater detail on the phone or in person.

Thank you in advance for your consideration, I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

Chase Garber
