Please accept my application for Business Analyst intern. I am a current graduate MS-MIS student with University of South Florida and I plan to graduate with a specialization track in Business Intelligence and Analytic.

As you can see from my resume, I have over 3 years of experience of working in business intelligence and Analytics domain. During this time, I was involved in data analysis techniques, various data collection methods for market research and presenting our findings in user-friendly formats using various BI and Reporting tool so as to identify the usage and growth pattern that have high impact on business decisions. IBM Cognos/ShowCase/BIRT are some of the powerful tools that I have used for Reporting. I have worked on Big Data technologies like Hadoop, MapReduce, HIVE, and PIG for Email sentiment analytics project which focused on email analysis, score calculation of email which was used to connect strength between two contacts and organizations. I have Knowledge of Net Promoter/ NPS score to understand correlation between customer satisfaction and revenue growth

Besides my regular role at Persistent, I have presented many new ideas as proof of concepts to the client and contractor IBM. Several of such ideas were highly acclaimed by IBM for which I also got a ‘You Made a Difference Award’.

As a Teaching Assistant of Advanced Systems Analysis and design class for graduates and software testing class for undergraduates, I have got opportunity to mentor and tutor students with CASE studies, UML tool and Selenium automation framework. In addition, this has been a great experience for me because I had to interact with diverse students and gaining their trust was essential.

In addition, my graduate course have given me chance to hone my skills in leading technologies, framework and tools, statistical analysis tool like R studio, NoSQL databases like MongoDB, data warehousing tools like Amazon Redshift. I got to work on various big data sets involving educational institute dataset, Crime dataset, New York times dataset and twitter data collected by using twitter streaming API so as to perform exploratory data analysis by applying various machine learning algorithms of classification, clustering, prediction models and represent the current market trends in graphical formats using R studio, SAS Enterprise Miner and Weka. I gained expertise in using Tableau for visualization. I can visualize data by slicing through various dimensions. I have in-depth knowledge and experience of connecting Tableau with other BI applications. I have also worked on visualization on web through Shiny R package and Javascript libraries such as D3.js and HighCharts. In spring, I have taken courses which require completion of projects in SAS and R programming and Python.
