I am writing to you with reference to an internship within your organization. Currently, I am a junior at Kansas State University studying Public Relations in the School of Journalism. I am pursuing an internship in a position where I can make the most of my qualifications.
Public Relations is an area I am very interested in and I believe interning will provide me with real world experiences in a field that I truly enjoy.
Throughout my academic life, I have been an active participant in college events and this quality of being pro-active and self-motivated has manifested in my work as well. Being a strong team player, creative, and having the ability to lead has enabled me to be successful in my college life.
I have the ability to learn quickly and work well with others in a team. Being an officer/co-chair for organizations on campus, I have developed excellent teamwork skills in order to accomplish goals. Along with these skills, I am a responsible and respectful individual who takes pride in her work.
I am also accustomed to taking initiative and the lead on projects when necessary. My role as a peer mentor has furthered my ability to take responsibility and to develop my skills as a leader of my peers.
