Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to express my strong interest in Citi’s Analyst Role for an Intern- Treasury and Trade Solutions role. I am impressed with the prospect to team up with many incredibly talented and driven people at one of the most global organization in the world. The opportunity of the rotational program offered to Analysts for career development captivates me. I believe, Citi is the perfect place to build on my strengths and be my best self.

I have intern at a company called “Machinecraft” in the past where I worked on the Production Unit, working on a vacuum formed Honey Comb Structure to be used in a water filtration plant in Mumbai City. My duties included data entry for shipments and assisting in the maintenance of the machines. I also optimized the assembly process by using the ERP software called Datascan Clarity. I believe that my exposure to senior management combined with the skills I gained during the internship - analytical thinking, team leadership and client relationship management - will allow me to make an immediate impact at Citi.

Prior to Dartmouth, I horned my analytical and communication skills while working for a medium sized enterprise that went through a major IT restructuring phase in 2013. I bridged the gap between business and IT and was accountable for streamlining their ordering system. I communicated with the internal and external stakeholders to develop a better understanding of the processes and the requirements of the company to implement key IT processes which are currently being used at the company. This experience helped me improve my analytical skills, while learning how to work in a fast-paced, global and dynamic environment under strict deadlines much like what I would experience at Citi.

At Dartmouth I have also focused on developing my optimization, finance and marketing competencies; three areas, which I know, are critical success factors for Analysts at Citi. With my penchant for producing tangible results and my enthusiasm for tackling tough issues, I am confident that I can make significant contributions to Citi. I have the educational background, academic achievement, practical experience and passion to be an outstanding member of your team.
