I am both delighted and optimistic in submitting my application for consideration,in respect of the opportunity to serve as a legal intern. I believe I would be an ideal candidate because I have an in depth comprehension of international law, the International Criminal Court and international human rights, coupled with a strong appreciation of political justice discourse.

As a recent law graduate, I have a Legum Baccalaureus (LL.B.) I am currently at an advanced stage of a Master of Laws degree (LL.M). The research project I have chosen and currently undertaking, has strong roots in jurisprudence and international law, with particular focus on international legitimacy, the United Nations Security Council and the International Criminal Court.

I have excellent written and oral communication skills, and professional experience in conducting legal analysis, preparing legal documentation, taking notes and taking minutes of meetings. English is my maternal language, and I have elementary to intermediate proficiency in French.

In closing, I view this opportunity to serve as a legal intern, as a means to combine the knowledge I have attained as a graduate student, with my passion, ideals and ambitions in practice. I sincerely thank you for your time and consideration, and I would welcome the opportunity to conduct an interview for this position. I believe I will be a valuable addition to the team.
