I am writing in regards to your advertisement seeking a financial services candidate as I believe I would be a great fit for the position. I graduated in 2014 from the Australian National University with a Bachelor of Finance, majoring in capital markets, and minoring in accounting.

I have a keen interest in the financial sector, and have strong numerical and analytical skills, as evinced by my academic achievements. Furthermore, my interest in sports, my international background and previous roles have allowed me to develop the soft skills that university alone cannot provide.

My experiences in the hospitality and office support industry have honed my administrative and customer service skills, and exposed me to a wide variety of clients. Additionally, having lived in several countries has exposed me to diverse cultures, developing my interpersonal skills and allowing me to easily build rapport with clients. I have spent the last three months in Tanzania, working with a consulting company, and took on variety of interesting projects. These involved setting up a grassroots microloans program, helping a government-initiated program achieve autonomy, and consulting for a tour company. In this role, I worked with and was mentored by business consultants from a range of backgrounds, developing my problem-solving and client management skills in a challenging, yet rewarding, environment.
