Sample cover letter for Full Time position at Community College

POSITION:

Librarian

Many successful managers are looking for candidates who not only present strong resumes but

candidates with the characteristics that make for successful employees. I strongly believe that I

possess those requirements and qualities that you are looking for.

I would like the opportunity to be considered for the Library Assistant position at Thomas

Nelson Community College. Being a recent graduate of (XXXX) University I understand the

critical role that the Librarians play on campus. The students and staff rely on these employees to

provide them with information to make their task easier. Librarians are called upon to exhibit the utmost

level of professionalism, friendliness, accuracy, and honesty. Throughout my work and

volunteer experiences, I have had the opportunity to exhibit all of those qualities.

I was a member of a number of organizations on campus and held  positions that required me

to have a creative mind, a sharp eye for detail, strong critical thinking skills and well developed

written and verbal communications skills. These skills were put to use to solve problems and

conduct everyday business. I work great on teams, I find that teamwork not only gets the task completed

in an efficient manner but is a great learning experience. I am interested in being a Library

Assistant because I believe that this opportunity will give me the opportunity to use my skills to

assist others and build a network with students, staff, and aspiring professionals.

I would appreciate the opportunity to come and explore Thomas Nelson Community College and

discuss this job opportunity further. I look forward to exchanging ideas with you concerning a

position at Thomas Nelson Community College and the positive contributions I would offer as a

member of your staff.
