Sample cover letter for Internship position at Compensia

POSITION:

Consultant

To Compensia Consulting Team:

I am .... I am applying for an internship position in Consulting department. I am a passionate, driven and highly motivated student who is looking for an opportunity where I can utilize my educational background along with my skills while I expand my knowledge and experience.

My educational background has provided me extensive organizational and managerial skills as well as technical skills. For instance, I have participated in several group projects, which has fostered my ability to work as a team. One of the projects I worked on was to review and analyze financial statements. I compared two public companies’ financial statements and provided company growth projectiles and evaluated their financial health. My role in the project was to analyze the data that my teammates collected. This group project has given me a hands-on experience on analysis of financial statements and auditing.

In addition to my academic background, I was a member of the business club. The purpose of joining this club was to give myself more opportunities to exchange opinions and expand my knowledge about current events on economic and political issues as well as business strategy. I have helped organized many events and meetings and through this club, it has enabled me to work with small and large groups, providing me leadership experience and improve my technical skills by preparing countless PowerPoint slides and compiling data on Excel.

I believe that my analytical, organizational skills and my ability to work on a team are match made skills in a career in consulting, especially at Compensia. As such, I would be pleased to speak with you to further discuss my background in relation to Accenture’s needs.
