I am writing to you in the hopes of inquiring about any available internship positions at the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest. While I study International Relations and Social Justice at ..., I also participate in additional courses in filmmaking, specifically documentary cinematography, at .... Throughout my education in all of these topics, I have been continuously led back to Israel in some form.

I am currently searching for an internship in the International Relations field, specifically an Israeli-based organization. I believe my educational background and international experiences qualify me to be a valuable member of the Consulate General’s team. Following my experience studying abroad in Israel through NFTY EIE High School in Israel, I was determined to utilize my education, knowledge, and background to provide grassroots education of Israel, including its policies, relationship with America, innovation, and culture, in cooperation with for-profit and political organizations.

As the President of the ...., Israel advocacy and education is my foremost objective. This has allowed me to better understand the effectiveness that various forms of Israel education and outreach has on college students and young adults. I have come to the realization that visual advocacy is a powerful tool when reaching out to younger generations. My experience creating films in Israel this past summer extended my ability to provide Israel advocacy in a creative form applicable to college students and young adults. An internship with the Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest would be mutually beneficial. The Consulate General of Israel to the Midwest has an excellent reputation for bettering the relationship and alliance between Israel and America, specifically in Chicago, and I know that my experience, skills, and determination to excel will make me an asset to your organization. Furthermore, I hope to increase my understanding of international diplomacy and the Middle East and I am confident that a position in your offices will afford me this privilege.
