Sample cover letter for Internship position at Credit Suisse

POSITION:

Technology Analyst

Dear Hiring Manager:

I am writing to express my strong interest in the 2016 Technology Summer Analyst-Intern position recently posted on the Carnegie Mellon University career services website. I will be graduating in Dec 2016 from Heinz College at Carnegie Mellon University. I believe I have the requisite skills ,you are looking for,to be successful in this position.

I have worked previously for two years in the data warehousing department of a major IT firm. Beyond gaining technical skills, I have learnt to plan my work, perform tasks in a structured manner, anticipate issues and manage risks regularly. I believe I have grown in responsibilities and maturity tremendously by working in team setups. Furthermore, interacting with a lot of senior managers, I have learnt to think bigger than immediate tasks and developed certain managerial traits myself.

While I have comprehensive technical background, my emphasis is on learning the business aspect of technology and product innovation. I feel your firm places prominence in similar areas and having a privilege of serving as an intern with you will give me that further exposure I need to advance in my career.

At XYZ, I will get a chance to learn how business is integrated with technology and how to analyse a problem form multiple perspectives before solving it. The technology specific learning sessions and networking events would give me an opportunity to network and build professional relationships with peers and division managers.

I would love the opportunity to discuss my qualifications with you in more detail. I can be reached by phone or email, both listed on my resume. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you.
