Sample cover letter for Internship position at Credit Suisse

POSITION:

Business Analyst

I am writing to express my strong interest in the ‘Summer Analyst’ position recently posted on the career services website of Carnegie Mellon University. After attending your on campus information session in September, I became very excited about the exciting career opportunities and dynamic culture at Credit Suisse. My conversations with Credit Suisse representatives at the career fair strengthened my belief that Credit Suisse would be an ideal place for me to leverage my strong analytical and project management skills to make a substantial impact in the consulting industry.

I am a first-year master’s student at H. John Heinz III College, School of Information Systems & Management at Carnegie Mellon University. I am pursuing Master of Information systems Management with concentration in IT Strategy and Project Management. At Heinz, I am focusing on developing my strategic analysis and project management competencies, two areas which I know are critical success factors for analysts in Credit Suisse. These skills, along with my prior work experience and passion for project management, will enable me to significantly contribute to your business.

Prior to Heinz, I worked at Wells Fargo as a Systems Analyst in the consumer lending line of business. As a systems analyst, I acted as a communication bridge between project stakeholders and technology teams. Managing global information projects gave me experience in the consultative and client service approach. Furthermore, I developed an understanding of the mortgage loan life cycle and the US banking system with respect to the Secondary Markets.

I would welcome the opportunity to interview with your company. Please find my resume attached. I look forward to meeting you soon and want to thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
