Sample cover letter for Internship position at Deloitte

This letter is to express my interest in applying for winter audit internship at Deloitte. I am a senior majoring in accounting and management at Purdue University. Even though I am graduating this semester earning a bachelor's degree, I will go directly to MSA program to earn my 150 credit hours sitting for CPA exam. My interest in public accounting began when I took auditing course at Purdue. Through learning more about public accounting and analyzing case projects of external audit service, I am keen to get an inside look at the country's top companies by studying their accounts. I have a desire to understand how some of the country’s top companies operate, and the opportunity to engage with these companies and build long-term relationships.

Comparing with my previous experience in the both fields of corporate accounting and public accounting, external audit service allows me to contribute more by helping client companies as well as foresee the value in the community. Deloitte, as one of the big four public accounting firms in the world, offers excellent and genuine service to the clients working across industries worldwide. My personal value makes perfect match with the core value of Deloitte. Thus, I am passionate about working at Deloitte, and looking forward to developing set of skills and making a positive impact.
