Sample cover letter for Internship position at Deloitte

POSITION:

tax intern

To whom it may concern,

I am interested in applying for an internship at Deloitte LLP. I am currently a senior at Baruch College Zicklin School of Business majoring in Accounting. My work experience combined with my academic coursework and extracurricular activities would make me a valuable addition to Deloitte LLP.

I am detail-oriented, hardworking, a quick learner and a team player. This past summer, after only one week of employment, I was able to substitute for my supervisor and act an in a managerial role. I have ample experience working in team settings, as I worked closely with the financial analyst at a commercial real estate brokerage firm on cash flow statements for marketable properties. In addition, I possess outstanding time management skills, as I am able to excel in my studies courses despite Baruch College’s demanding schedule. I am also a peer tutor for the Zicklin Peer Tutoring Program, where I am able to effectively communicate concepts in Business Statistics, Finance, and Accounting to other students. I am capable of dealing with long hours, completing projects in a timely manner, and working in a team environment.

I could not help but notice how great of a fit the Deloitte LLP internship program would be for me. The program provides a fantastic chance to gain accounting experience while working as part of the Deloitte team. It will also grant me the opportunity to interact with Deloitte LLP professionals, which will greatly expand my knowledge of both the corporate world and the accounting profession. I look forward to the opportunity to learn and grow immensely from this wonderful experience.

I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you for your consideration.
