Sample cover letter for Internship position at Deloitte

Currently I am a fifth semester student studying International Management in a French-German link at the Essec Business School in Paris. Through this letter, I would like to express my interest in joining the Deloitte team as an intern to compliment my studies.

Last summer, I had the opportunity to get to know some Deloitte representatives at the Business Fair in Paris. The impression I gained at this fair and the Deloitte Monday Briefing Newsletter, to which I am subscribed, highly motivated me to do an internship within your company. Last summer, I was already in contact with a recruiter from Deloitte Luxemburg with regards to an internship. Despite mutual interest we did not succeed due to not matching time schedules.

I was able to gain during a six-month internship at the Deutsche Bank in Frankfurt, in which I supported a specialist team in financing Mid-Cap companies. I developed an understanding for corporate finance and learned how to cope with a high workload by prioritising tasks and carefully organising my time. Furthermore, the responsibility I was given in a market-sizing project helped me to expand my ability as a team player.

Since my second semester, I have been an active member of student consulting associations and as a result, it is my declared goal to become a strategic consultant. The challenging and varying nature of tasks and the highly structured working methods they require, attract me. My work at Essec Consulting Club taught me a goal-oriented and time-efficient approach to case solving by using the top-down method.

I am convinced that I can be a valuable and productive intern of your team as I am highly motivated to work in the consulting business. My strengths include conscientiousness, reliability and developed analytical skills.
