Governance Manager

It is with great enthusiasm that I am submitting my application for the Governance Manager with Diageo Canada. As a Chemical Engineering, I am drawn to this role having the opportunity to ensure a safe and efficient worksite. Having previously led field operations, conducted asset audits, and ensured regulatory compliance, I am confident I will be a great asset to your team.
Recently interning with ConocoPhillips allowed me to gain exposure to risk management and ensuring regulatory compliance. Leading asset integrity/environmental inspections of over 330 remote locations required strong organizational skills, managing multiple inspections teams, reviewing inspection results/samples, conducting on-site investigations, and coordinating remedial work amongst multiple departments. My experience conducting environmental risk assessments are highlighted conducting Asset Integrity audits reviewing over 90 abandoned wells in areas of proposed Oil Sand operations. Due to the extreme reservoir temperatures and pressures occurring during these operations, I was tasked to review assets in these areas to identify future environmental and fluid containment risks. This involved analyzing the integrity of all well barriers through historical well data and testing, identifying 7 high-risk assets for reabandonment.
As a Field Operator with Canadian Natural Resources Limited, I am accustomed to plant environments leading water disposal operations along with 47 heavy-oil wells. This involved troubleshooting process equipment, coordinating work crews, and ensuring adherence to industrial safety standards. This fast-paced role taught me to quickly adapt to changing priorities, working 10-hour shifts and being on call 24-hours a day
