Sample cover letter for Internship position at Disney

POSITION:

Finance Intern

Disney Store

Hammersmith, London

Dear Miss Stoneman,

RE: Finance Intern TWDC

I am writing to apply for the above post, as advertised on the Bournemouth University career website. I enclose my CV for your consideration. I am currently undertaking four year Accounting and Finance course including a 40 week industrial placement.

Many generations have been affected by Disney and mine is not different. Whilst I was growing up, I kept my interest in Disney which changed through time. From a childhood to working at Disney will fulfil my dreams and will develop my professional skills. I am strongly attracted by the high level of background and cultural diversity the company offers as I have always been interested in working in a multicultural environment. As a really social and communicative person, the help and the support Disney offers in building a relationship with other stakeholders is another key factor for me. I have been trying to combine my business passion with my creative side all my life which makes Disney my dream job.

The units I have taken in accounting, finance and economics have provided me with a broad understanding of the markets and economy, the ability to analyse financial data and business decision making. Courseworks helped me strengthen my analytical and quantitative skills as well as improved my skills on Microsoft Office, especially Excel, which I believe to be very beneficial for the role. In addition to my relevant coursework, my training at Alpha Bank (Bulgaria)have provided me with an extensive knowledge of financial institutions and have enhanced my interest in pursuing a financial career.

As I am used to being in different environments, I adapt easily and pick up skills quickly from group work, team building, workshops or different training courses.

I set high target goals and expectations for myself in the name of my personal development. I strive to and I am not afraid to get out of my comfort zone every day in order to try something new and get different experience. I am a positive person who can have an influence over others and I am able to work in a group as effective as on my own. My previous experience in a diverse environment will make my communication with other employees easier. I am an extremely open-minded person which helps me to generate a wider range of creative ideas and think out of the box.

I believe the combination of my business and creativity skills and qualities makes me the person Disney is looking for.

I look forward to discussing my application with you at interview.

Yours sincerely ,
