Sample cover letter for Internship position at Disney

POSITION:

Accounting & Finance Internship

GOT THE JOB? Yes

22nd December 2014

Dear Sir/Madam,

Re: Finance and Accounting Internship – ID: 220664BR

I am very pleased to submit my application for the role of Finance Assistant as advertised online on Rate My Placement. I have enclosed my CV for consideration.

I am currently in the penultimate year of an Accounting and Finance degree at the University of Bournemouth. I have always had an interest in finance, and my degree has helped to further this interest. Many of the modules I have studied, including Corporate Financial Management, Business Tax Planning and Audit and Control, have provided me with the relevant and necessary skills to turn my interest into a future career.

Throughout my A-levels and my degree, I have successfully combined my studies with work and other commitments demonstrating my motivation to succeed, my commitment to my studies and my capability of working under pressure. During my studies I have maintained part time work at a number of different organisations. In these positions, I have been able to gain the experience of working with young people, dealing with children and accommodating adults with disabilities. I have greatly enjoyed these experiences, which have enabled me to gain a wide range of skills in taking responsibility, communicating at various levels and working collaboratively with others.

The Walt Disney brand is part of everybody’s childhood, mine included, from watching Mickey Mouse at a very young age to growing up with the classics such as Cinderella, The Lion King and Aladdin. To be given the opportunity to learn and present my skills for such a corporation would be an ideal.

Thank you very much for considering my application. I would be very happy to supply additional information, if necessary, and look forward to your reply. I am available for subsequent stages of the selection process at any time.

Yours Faithfully
