Dear Recruiting Manager,

I am a graduate at University of Warwick majoring in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I am writing to express my deep interest in the consulting position at Ernst &Young.

I believe that interest is the premise of success. Consultants are trained on how to get to work on the executive level or CEO’s mindset without having 20 or 30 years of work in a given company. No other occupation offers me an insight into corporate strategy or operation in such a short time and I was extremely attracted by the attributes of consulting. Referring to the situation that employee in Ernst & Young, being committed to doing the right thing both personally and professionally, strive to create an ethical workplace. Such a trust and dynamic working environment, coupled with my desire to help corporations to address strategic needs, convinced me to apply consulting position in Ernst &Young.

I believe that the business knowledge I have gained from my education in combination with the following skills puts me a position to contribute immediately in case team.

● Academic Skills: With an a master average mark of 66 out of 100 at the University of Warwick and 61 out of 100 in Newcastle University have demonstrated my outstanding academic achievements. My education has touched on all aspects of business and has developed my analytical, critical thinking abilities and statistical researching skills.

● Communication and Problem Solving Skills: Throughout my studies and internships, I have participated in various interviews with executives of target companies and have managed to deliver the quality service. I am good at thinking on the spot and trouble shooting a variety of logistical issues and solving problems. For example, while working in the investment banking, the pre-IPO company encounters certain thorny issues such as copyright issue that impede the progress of IPO preparation works. I came up with some innovative solutions and helped client company act and function as a public company.

● Teamwork and Leadership Skills: I have had a fortune to be given a number of leadership responsibilities on campus, including establishing an enterprise, organizing student union’s activities and various group coursework. During my bachelor degree, I led a team to set up an enterprise and make sure team members were productive. We finally achieved 30000 CNY profits.

As a result of these experiences, I am eager to contribute my abilities and efforts to Ernst & Young in consulting position, which combines my skills, my desire, and my career goals. I am confident I can be of value to your organization and the customers you serve.
