During my internship at the Barclays Bank, I have honed my analytical and critical thinking skills. I completed two major Supervision projects in teams: one at a leasing company La Prudence Leasing Ltd and another at a bank, Banque des Mascareignes Ltée. I was responsible for carefully analysing hundreds of varying client records and evaluate whether they complied with all relevant regulatory guidelines. I presented my findings to the team and collaborated to produce the final reports outlining the degree of compliance the firms observed and the changes they should implement. Both reports were highly commended by the Deputy Governor.

For the past 3 years, I have been tutoring young people at both primary and secondary levels in Mathematics and French. The experience of coaching people of different backgrounds and building a trust relationship with their parents has greatly enhanced both my interpersonal skills and leadership abilities. I have also sharpened my communication skills from the habit of explaining a complex concept using techniques which are best adapted to my audience’s interest and ability. This skill will undoubtedly help me during the numerous meetings with my team-workers and with clients.
