I am very excited to apply for the position of Senior Performance Engineer with Etisalat. The advertised position matches closely with my career aspirations and professional interests. I have long been fascinated with Etisalat’s business model and technical edge, and would love to contribute to her success story.

I hold a master’s degree with Distinction in Communication Engineering from the University of Manchester in the UK and have the necessary background and skills for the advertised position. I conducted my dissertation research on a themed project on Energy Efficiency of Next Generation (5G) Wireless networks. Specifically, I evaluated how Device-to-Device Communication can be incorporated into 5G to make the network more energy efficient. I investigated several techniques for underlaying cellular networks with D2D communication while generating minimal interference levels to the primary network.

I used MatLab programming during my dissertation research to simulate both link level and system level performance of wireless networks. I also closely follow current issues and trends in wireless and mobile networks, and have proficient skill in using associated software tools.

I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Nigeria, where I graduated with Second Class Upper. I have strong passion for Engineering and a flair for solving technical problems.

My passion for networking and telecommunication is well established. It began in my early childhood as curiosity to discover the magic behind the pictures and images on the television set and led me to study Electronic Engineering at bachelor's degree level. I developed a flair for networking during my bachelor’s program, leading me to study several networking courses during my internship, and to a choice of Communication Engineering for my master's degree. I hope to exploit the power of modern communications to make life better for our generation and for posterity.

I have fluent oral and written communication skills in English, and logical and well –structured presentation of thought. I relate well with peoples from all cultures and backgrounds, and have inter-personal skills that enable me to transcend class differences effortlessly. I participated in the Common Purpose Global Leader Experience (GLE) Manchester in November 2015. The GLE brings together young leaders from different cultures and academic disciplines to solve a common global challenge, and is tenable only in universities with students drawn from at least 100 different nationalities. I have also had the opportunity to hold a number of leadership positions both within the university and outside. I attach my curriculum vitae herewith for your perusal.
